Temporary Position as Kitchen Assistant at Lotsstigen, Brösta Arnäsvall

In your role, you will work as a kitchen assistant handling kitchen duties, cleaning the preschool premises, and being a student assistant in the leisure activities at the adapted primary school.

Job Responsibilities

As a kitchen assistant, you will work in the kitchen managing meals such as breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Dishwashing and administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and meals via computer are also included in your responsibilities, as well as daily cleaning of the preschool premises. In the afternoons, you will work with the children in the leisure activities of the adapted primary school.

Qualifications

You should have previous experience working in kitchens and cleaning, and be accustomed to working with self-control and checklists. It is an advantage if you have experience working with children with disabilities and knowledge of low-arousal working methods, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), support signs, or sign language.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently with great personal responsibility, is flexible, and service-oriented. As a person, you are calm and patient. You treat everyone with respect and are solution-focused in your interactions with others. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

You must be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to understand work orders, routines, checklists, orders, and communication in the workplace, as well as to have clear dialogues with children, guardians, and colleagues.

You should be able to work in other kitchens within the organization as our working method means that we cover for each other in case of absence. You will be part of a larger workgroup together with employees from other kitchens in the area and have the kitchen unit manager as your immediate supervisor.

The position is a full-time temporary employment (100%) from February 1, 2026, to July 5, 2026.
